Wall Storage for an Oddly Shaped Bike
- The Problem
- Standard wall hooks assume a standard top tube. A step-through frame and an e-bike battery pack meant every off-the-shelf mount either didn't fit or didn't hold the weight.
- The Solution
- A custom bracket modeled directly from a 3D scan of the frame, cut from Baltic birch and reinforced with a printed load-bearing insert hidden inside the joint.

- 01 3D-scan the frame
- 02 Model the bracket around the scan
- 03 Cut and laminate the plywood
- 04 Print and bond the load insert
The Story
We scanned the bike in the garage with a phone. The bracket that came out of that scan is the only one that's ever fit right, because it was never meant to fit any other bike.
Off-the-shelf hardware is designed for an average that doesn’t always exist. This one is designed for one specific bike, on one specific wall.
